Starting from the Delaware Memorial Bridges, take the New Jersey Turnpike north to the Garden State
Parkway (or from Northern New Jersey, just take the Garden State Parkway).
Take the Garden State Parkway north to the junction with I-287.
Take I-287 east across the Tappan Zee Bridge.
Continue east on I-287 to the junction with I-684.
Take I-684 North to the junction with I-84 East (just south of Brewster, NY).
Take I-84 East to exit 39 in Connecticut (exit is called Route 4, Farmington, University of Connecticut
Health Center). Exit is from the LEFT LANE.
Proceed to the traffic light at the end of a very long exit ramp (the ramp is about 1 mile) and continue
(through that light) on Route 4 West for an additional 0.9 miles to the intersection with Route 10 at another traffic light.
For The Farmington Inn, go through that intersection, remaining on Route 4. The Farmington Inn will be
less than 0.1 miles on your left.
For Avon Old Farms Hotel or Avon Old Farms Inn, make a right turn onto Route 10 North and proceed
5.5 miles to the intersection with US 44.
Avon Old Farms Hotel will be on your right at the intersection with US 44. Entry driveway will be
before you get to the intersection. If you miss it, make a right at the intersection and there’s another entryway
almost immediately.
For Avon Old Farms Inn, proceed across the intersection. You are now on Nod Road. Parking for Avon Old
Farms Inn will be on your right, about 100 feet past the intersection.
TO GO FROM THE FARMINGTON INN TO EITHER THE AVON OLD FARMS INN OR
TO THE AVON OLD FARMS HOTEL
Make a right turn as you exit The Farmington Inn onto Route 4 East.
Go less than 0.1 mile to the light that is at the intersection with Route 10.
Make a left turn onto Route 10 North and proceed 5.5 miles.
Avon Old Farms Hotel will be on your right at the intersection with US 44. Entry driveway will be before
you get to the intersection. If you miss it, make a right at the intersection and there’s another entryway almost
immediately.
For Avon Old Farms Inn, proceed across the intersection. You are now on Nod Road. Parking for Avon Old
Farms Inn will be on your right, about 100 feet past the intersection.
