We were engaged on Novemeber 3, 2000 at the Snow Goose Inn, a beautiful B&B in Vermont. Elissa thought the weekend was an innocent spur of the moment getaway, but David had other plans! We arrived at the Inn on Friday afternoon, and found our room to be beautiful, with a fireplace, fluffy blankets and pillows, and a huge jacuzzi for two. After an afternoon nap, we went out for a romantic dinner where the topic of "our future" came up (David later said that he steered the conversation in this direction!). Back at the Inn after dinner, we were lying on the bed waiting for the jacuzzi to fill,		when David brings up the dinner conversation again. He said "I love you and want to spend my life with you." Elissa, not knowing what was really going on, just replied "I love you too and I want that too!" This went back and forth a few times until Elissa realized David was serious, and said "Are you really asking me?? Right now???" Then David asked the big question to which Elissa replied, "Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, YES!!" Then he said, "In that case, I have something for you" and took the ring out from under the pillow. It was the sweetest, most magical moment for both of us!
