how we met

Peter and Allison were introduced to each other by Norman Morgan. Norman is a close family friend of the Werners and a relative of the Heymans. Norman was insistent on fixing Peter and Allison up and was positive that they would have a great deal in common. Norman passed along Allison’s number to Peter and Peter mustered up the courage to give Allison a call. After a few great phone conversations, Peter popped the question…not that question. He asked Allison if she would be interested in getting together and going on a date. On June 23rd, 2000 Peter and Allison had their first date. Peter came over to Allison’s apartment and after more than three hours of great conversation, they finally decided to go out for a late dinner. They went to a popular Richmond restaurant called Southern Culture and ate shrimp and grits. After an excellent dinner and more great conversation, Peter drove Allison back to her apartment and asked if he could call her once he returned home the next day after visiting his Grandma and Bubby in Maryland. Allison was hooked. After returning to Richmond, Peter called Allison and asked when he could see her again. Allison responded, "tomorrow looks good" and the two enjoyed their second date at Hana Zushi the next night. From that point on, Peter and Allison continued to spend more and more time together and knew that what they shared was really special….and on July 27th, 2002, Peter popped the question….the real question.
